Chemical Compounds and Ingredients to Avoid

To remain in conformance with federal, state, and local air quality regulations the following chemical compounds and ingredients shall not be used on Company premises and job-sites when at all possible:

  • Spray application of coatings to a plastic and/or metal substrate where the coatings contain compounds of:

    • Chromium (Cr)

    • Lead (Pb)

    • Manganese (Mn)

    • Nickel (Ni)

    • Cadmium (Cd)

  • Paint stripping operations that use:

    • Methylene Chloride (MeCl)

If no suitable alternative can be used without these chemical compounds and ingredients contact Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) to determine regulatory requirements. If necessary, any appropriate protective measures shall be introduced before commencing activities that require these chemical compounds and ingredients.
