Operating Plasma Cutter Table
NOTE: ONLY TRAINED AND AUTHORIZED OPERATORS SHOULD USE THE PLASMA CUTTER. THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS ARE ONLY INTENDED TO SAFEGUARD THE OPERATOR AND EQUIPMENT FROM DAMAGE AND INJURY.
Make sure you have your welding dark glasses ready.
Position the welding curtains to block the arc and any splatter from the plasma cutter table.
Inspect all wires, cables and air hoses for any damage or leaks.
Inspect level of plasma cutter fluid and condition. Make sure there is no mold build up.
Verify there are no objects blocking plasma cutter carriage. Also, make sure there are any debris or left over material that is not going to be use for the cutting job.
Check ground connection of plasma cutter to the table surface.
Check plasma tip / gun is connected to the carriage and all wiring is in perfect condition.
Start plasma cutter and wait for the computer software to load.
Download or upload drawing to the computer system. Follow instructions to input cutting parameters to the plasma cutter computer. If you have any issues or trouble refer back to the owners manual or contact your Lincoln representative or support team.
After drawing was loaded, place sheet metal on plasma cutter table surface. Set parameters for cutting instructions on the computer system.
Input command to plasma cutter to begin cutting the sheet metal.
Do not block or place your hand on cutting path of plasma cutter. Serious injuries can occur.
When cutting has finished, remove cutting pieces with gloves to avoid cuts, scrapes or burns.
If you have more cuttings to do, repeat procedures listed above.
After finishing the cutting project, proceed to remove any left over material laying on top of the table. Leave area clean and unblock for any future use.
Power off plasma cutter if not going to be used again.
