Dress Code
An employee’s personal appearance is a reflection on Dow Aero (“Company”) character and professional image. Employees are expected to maintain good hygiene practices, be well groomed, and avoid wearing the following types of clothing, artwork, or accessories while on Company premises or while engaged in Company business:
Any clothing or tattoos that depict profanity, sexuality, drug/alcohol use, or that inaccurately or harmfully portrays a protected characteristic.
Excessively dirty or damaged clothing (i.e torn shirts or jeans).
Jeans that are partially factory-torn are acceptable within the following parameters: holes are placed no further up than end of your fingertips (arms at your side) and holes are no larger than a dollar bill.
Facial piercings, with the exception of typical ear piercings.
Plug and gauge ear piercings are not acceptable.
Leggings (skin-tight garments for men and women).
Shorts that are more than two (2) inches above the knees or
Basketball/mesh or “casual” type shorts
Any type of open-toe footwear.
Employees are expected to dress appropriately for their individual work responsibilities and position. Employees should consult a direct manager or supervisor for their work attire requirements for the specific position.
The Company may require employees, on an individual-basis or Company-wide, to wear special dress attire on occasion. Employees will be notified as soon as possible, but will usually receive notice at least two (2) business days in advance.
